Sexy witch costumes never go out of style for Halloween whether it be parties or trick or treating. Sexy witch costumes have been a staple costume for Halloween get togethers as they are very recognizable with the pointed hat and a black dress, cape or otherwise an outfit that has little if any color. A pointed nose, warts rounds out the look and many costumes are reminiscent of the Wicked Witch from the movie, The Wizard of Oz.
Witch costumes and Halloween seem to go together what with the “tricks” that go along with failing to give the youngsters treats that they desire. But how do you make a particularly unattractive woman sexy? Many costumes are sexy because they go a long way towards exposing a woman’s legs, tummy, breasts and beyond. A lot of other costumes use color to make them feminine often to the extremes. Yet the witch costume is formulaic in that it is black or at least it has been throughout the years and remaking the look is difficult or even impossible to do. Everyone has seen the Wizard of Oz and the witch in that movie wore a flowing garment that was black, black shoes, black hat and a broom. So where do the sexy costume designers go from there. Often there is not much that can be done with those beginnings. Part of the characteristics of a good to great costume is the ability to recognize who you are attempting to portray. Using color would steer the character of the witch to a more touchy feely character and of course she is not touchy or feely. Whimsical she is not either so the character is somewhat constricted.
Also most girls look forward to Halloween as an opportunity to sex themselves up, or in other words looks prettier than they are, could be or want to be on a day to day basis. Pretty girls want to look prettier, while every girl wants to look sexier and a wart on the nose is not part of the formula to looking sexy. Witches are generally viewed in the popular culture as nasty and mean and most sexy Halloween costumes are sexy and cute or perhaps slutty and gorgeous or at least somewhere in that direction.
So where does the witch costume fit it. First there is the childrens market which is clearly not about nor should it be about looking sexy. Children’s costumes are about Mutant Ninja Turtles or other television or film characters that are adorable, cute and cuddly. Some childrens’ costumes are about cowboys and Indians, space men, cartoon characters but alas that is not the subject of this article.
Sexy witches have and will continue to play a role in sexy costumes but must use a little more imagination in getting the sexy out of these costumes. Sexy is also about accessories like wigs, hosiery, high heels and the like. Also choosing carefully for sexy witch costumes is a great solution as there are many sexy, sexy witch costumes that will combine the sexy and erotic with the traditional and accepted view of that witch who casts spells, turns people into frogs and uses her magic wand and incantations to spread her magic.
